Odo stated that adopting PPP, whilst the public sector is seen as representing a pool of potentials and resources central to the delivery of key public services, the private sector is regarded for its ability to harness its expertise in realising substantial incremental values of those resources in healthcare delivery. The president made the call in Lagos at the AGPMPN centenary strategic dinner/fund raising towards its 100 years celebration coming up on May 25, 2021 in Abuja. Using PPPs to bring these forces to bear, he said can offer a sustainable long-term approach to improve healthcare infrastructure and enhance value of public sector assets. Chairman, AGPMPN Lagos State branch, Dr. Makinde Akinlemibola said the organisation is focused on saving lives of women and children in Lagos and Nigeria at large. He said the most rapid gains against mortality can be made by giving women, especially young wives, mothers and children, greater confidence, thereby empowering them.
